Girls Gist

“Girls Gist”,  A platform where girls grow & glow through interaction and participation in a mentorship program. Waado USA is partnering with local schools, churches and local NGO’s to deliver career, leadership and entrepreneurship training for the girls.  

WHY?: We are at an unprecedented time where issues like drug abuse, prostitution, mental health is ravaging the youth in communities around the world especially among young girls. 
They need to be able to talk and be listened to. They need to be protected from the lure of human traffickers and the fake social media life, the pressure to make money rather than to build skills and make an impact.

HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?: We are asking that you do any of the following:

• Volunteer SIGN UP
• GIVE Financially for (food, project materials, scholarships, uniforms, clothes, sanitary pads, computers, equipment tutoring and more)
• START A CHAPTER in your community by becoming a chapter coordinator

PROGRAM  BUDGET:

Your financial support will help us cover expenses related to program flyers, stationeries, facilitators stipends and project materials and more.

Skill workshops: Our skill workshops will prepare the girls to become entrepreneurs through a certification path

Career Training: The training will enlighten the girls about 21st century careers and the requirements to pursue that path.

Leadership: Through volunteer work, the girls will be taught to pay it forward as they take what they learn from our platform to lead their communities.

Just like the quote above, we believe our members/participants will  be able to face up to their problems by taking charge of their worlds with faith and perseverance.
